The Texans made Miller that the No. 85 overall pick back in 2016, planning to use him as a hybrid participant within Bill O’Brien’s crime. Miller was a quarterback before transitioning to back for his final season, along with the team pictured him working the way.
However, in just two seasons with the Texans, Miller rarely got on the field. He missed time because of injuries during each of his two seasons in Houston rather than really carved out a function alongside DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. While carrying four times for a single yard, he caught only 34 passes for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns. In addition, he made very little impact as a return guy, returning three kickoffs for 41 total yards and four punts for 13 yards.
Because of his athleticism, he could find a shot everywhere in the league sometime. Excellent characters were posted by miller at the combine that would lead one to believe he could manage some work in the slot, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to find a team take a shot on him, being that he is just 25 years old.
